I have an extensive health science background including a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Marist College and a Masters of Public Health from New York Medical College. For the past 11 years, I have been working in the healthcare field. I was until recently the data manager for a large multi-site cancer research project at Cornell Medical College. Prior to that, I held various positions in the areas of infectious disease and laboratory medicine.
It was during my healthcare career that I became increasingly aware of the lack of focus on disease prevention in the conventional medical system. This led me to seek a career that would enable individuals to take control of their health and make better everyday food and lifestyle choices. I am 33 and I have a private health coaching practice in Manhattan, where I live.
At a young age I developed a passion for healthy living. As the daughter of Italian immigrants, I grew up on the Mediterranean diet and learned first-hand the benefits of eating real, whole, healthy foods. My inspiration to teach the simplicity of healthy eating comes from my father, a gourmet chef with a focus on simple, healthy cooking.
My specialty is working with busy professionals who are ready to improve their health and overall well-being. My focus is on stress management, using whole foods nutrition and balanced lifestyle choices. I have successfully treated both my own and my client’s anxiety without the use of medication. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience with my clients.
I have a unique coaching style that is compassionate yet firm. I use a holistic approach, meaning I look at the whole person as a union of mind, body, and spirit. I offer education and support as clients work toward their health goals and provide tools for a lifetime of balance.
Working as a health coach is so rewarding to me because it allows me to directly affect the wellbeing of my clients. I cannot imagine a more ideal career for myself. I get to help people to achieve their personal best health and create the lives they’ve always imagined. What could be better than that?
In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, reading, yoga, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. I’ve been dancing since the age of five and love all types of dance. Some of my favorites are salsa, bhangra, and bellydance.
