My interest in nutrition and life balance began back in college. I was often called “the narcoleptic girl” because of my habit of falling asleep after meals and during parties. I also carried extra weight that I couldn’t lose. Searching for a way to relieve my constant fatigue and excess weight, I tried every diet from the “Abs diet” to “Atkins”. After four years of experimenting, I figured out that I was highly sensitive to corn and refined carbohydrates such as white bread and pastries.

One day, after enjoying a dish of steamed chicken, broccoli and brown rice, I made the connection between the meal and the resulting fatigue. The sauce contained cornstarch. When I ordered the dish again, minus the cornstarch, I stayed wide-awake after eating. I continued to improve my diet by eating whole foods and incorporating daily exercise (last year I competed in three triathlons, including the New York City Triathlon).

I am 31 years old and received my BA from Northwestern University and an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management. Professionally, I worked the corporate sector for seven years as a strategy consultant and brand manager. It was during my time as a marketing manager at L’Oreal that I decided to make a career out of my passion and attended the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.

Today I work with private clients who come to me in order to lose weight naturally, eliminate sugar cravings, balance their energy swings or control food sensitivities or allergies. Often my clients are frustrated because they have too much to do and cannot find the time for self-care. As a result, they suffer from stress, anxiety, excess weight, depression and an overall feeling of being out of control.

My style is one of simplicity and patience. Having worked eighty hour weeks myself, I understand that clients need simple ways to make healthy living a part of their lives. I incorporate both humor and moderation in my sessions and help clients to understand that being radiantly healthy can optimize their roles in life as parents, professionals and friends.

During my health coaching program, clients typically experience dramatically higher energy levels, weight loss, glowing skin, better moods, improved focus and increased productivity. In addition, they often gain a new sense of awareness, moving towards success while listening to their body and
living consciously.

Being a health coach brings together all the values that I stand for. I am passionate about supporting people to make transformations in their lives without sacrificing career, family or anything else that is important to them. Everyday I continue to learn from my clients and truly love my work. When I am not cooking, biking, running or swimming, I enjoy sitting back to watch the sunset and realigning the balance in my own life.
