I am a Certified Health Coach, specializing in nutrition and wellness as a foundation for leading an extraordinary life. I am also a human resources/corporate wellness consultant, a writer, registered yoga teacher, and small business coach with over a dozen years of self-care management experience. I work with corporate staff, small business owners and entrepreneurs drawing on my experience in all of the above.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Long Island University, with a specialization in journalism. Earlier in my career I owned and operated a Manhattan-based marketing communications company for 13 years. In addition to a client roster that included consumer products and entertainment companies (Radio City Entertainment, Mattel, Tanqueray, Johnnie Walker and Sirius Satellite Radio), I worked with clients in the health, nutrition and fitness arenas including gyms (including World Gym), Pilates studios and authors in the vitamin and fitness training sectors.
I changed course in my career after noticing the work-drain lifestyle of my corporate clients and experiencing my own, and comparing it to the more balanced lifestyles of my health and wellness clientele. I opted to follow my passion by returning to school and embarking on a career that allows me to empower managers to enjoy the benefits of a fulfilling work/life balance. I believe the key to making a paradigm shift in one’s health and life is the intention to effect change.
I received my formal nutrition and wellness education from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Drawing on this knowledge, and combining it with a razor-sharp focus on self-care, I work with clients to co-create their personalized “roadmap to health” that suits their unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals. I am certified by the Association of Drugless Practioners and the Yoga Alliance.
At age 51, in addition to my coaching, I regularly practice and teach yoga. I enjoy writing about wellness, with recent dabbling in fiction. And I love eating great dinners—either prepared in my own kitchen or out and about.
