I graduated from SUNY Stony Brook with a BS in biochemistry. My experience in the medical field started when I attended Nova Southeastern University where I began studies to become an osteopathic physician. Shortly after enrolling, I realized that there was little time in a physician’s day to truly listen to and counsel the patient. Instead, the focus was on what kind of drug to prescribe. It was at that time that I decided to take a leave of absence and pursue other opportunities in the health field. I went on to work for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation for seven years as Manager of Board Administration reporting to the President and CEO. In 2004 I graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and became certified as a health coach by the American Association of
Drugless Practitioners.

My journey to becoming a health coach began many years ago when I was diagnosed with gastritis, an inflammation of the stomach lining. After many tests, my doctors decided to put me on medication for the rest of my life to control the inflammation. Rather than accept a lifetime of dependence on prescription medication, I decided to pursue natural ways to heal myself. With a change of diet and lifestyle, I not only permanently healed myself, but began a mission to heal others through better food and lifestyle choices!

I love what I do as a health coach and it shows in the sessions with my clients. I specialize in working with busy professionals who struggle with eating healthy on the go, stress reduction, improving their sleep, food addictions, acid reflux, low energy and weight reduction without the need for willpower, deprivation or denial!

My belief is that there is no one diet that is right for everyone. I counsel my clients to find a way of eating that best supports their health, well being, and lifestyle. My clients happily report feeling more energized and in control of their cravings after only a few sessions.

I am 32 and live and practice in Syosset, New York. In addition to my full time health coaching practice, I enjoy being in the outdoors with my husband as much as possible. I am an avid skier, snowboarder and golfer. I also enjoy weight training and challenging myself mentally and physically in any way I can.
