Prior to becoming a health coach, I earned a BA from Dartmouth College in Economics with an emphasis in Public Health and an MBA from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business.  I previously worked as a Consultant at Bain & Company across the Private Equity, Consumer Products, and Financial Services sectors, led product marketing at a technology start-up and worked in healthcare investment banking for Hambrecht & Quist/ JPMorgan Chase. I am a 2007 graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners as a health coach, and hold a certificate from Teachers College Columbia University in health coaching. Following my graduation, I served on the management team at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition supporting marketing, strategy, and admissions.  I am currently the Nutrition Director for Inform Fitness, a Manhattan based fitness studio owned by The Power of Ten founder Adam Zickerman and launched the Inform Nutrition Program in 2008.

Originally from Granite Bay in Northern California, I now live on the Upper West Side of Manhattan with my husband Paul and English Mastiff Puppy Callie. I believe that food changes everything and as a foodie enjoy making fresh, healthy food taste fabulous. I teach people that eating healthy and feeling vibrant can be consistent with eating delicious and satisfying foods.

In my private counseling practice, I excel at working with busy professionals seeking to incorporate healthy habits and balance into their fast-paced lifestyles; women seeking to gain optimum health before, during, or after pregnancy; individuals of all ages looking to improve health, energy, and happiness for themselves and their families.  These habits lay the foundation for a lifetime of healthy eating and self-care

My counseling style is empathetic and goal-oriented. I coach clients to break big goals into weekly milestones, overcome emotional issues and habits standing in the way of healthful eating, create more time for their priorities through time management strategies, and to succeed through consistent and lasting steps in the right direction.

I discovered my passion for health and wellness from the inside out during my father’s battle with brain cancer. My eyes opened to the tremendous impact of food, diet, and lifestyle on overall heath, happiness, and well-being-- not just for cancer patients but for all of us. Food not only turns into our thoughts and cells but also controls gene expression. So much of the health care crisis we’re experiencing is preventable and I am passionate about having a career that harnesses my talents to make the world a healthier, happier place.

I enjoy singing, yoga, shopping at the farmer’s market, “upgrading” recipes with healthy ingredients, and spending time in Northern California, New Hampshire, and Martha's Vineyard. I am currently at work on my first book focusing on nutrition for babies and toddlers: Vibrant Baby.
