My family life was transformed when my wife enrolled in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2004. After seeing the positive impact of our health coaching program on my own family and on my wife’s clients, I was called to action to build a business for companies to actively manage and reduce their health costs while increasing their productivity. I am passionate in my belief that there is no need to passively accept healthcare cost increases. In addition to my role as co-founder of Weiser Choices, I am a health coach and 2010 graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and hold an additional certificate in health counseling from the State University of New York at Purchase. I specialize in working with busy men who are ready to pursue improving their overall health as a foundation for optimal productivity and success across all spheres of their lives for the long term.

Chronic health conditions including heart disease, obesity, diabetes and many cancers are threatening the competitiveness of domestic businesses. Most chronic diseases are preventable and are driven primarily by our behavior and lifestyle and not our genetics. The Weiser Choices’ 6-month health coaching program powerfully and effectively equips our clients to replace unhealthy habits with healthy and sustainable behaviors. Having worked for the food giant ConAgra, I recognize the challenge we are up against. Individuals require health coaches to educate them on how to navigate the processed food environment companies make so appealing, accessible, and affordable. I am inspired to take the health successes I have seen in our clients and in our home and extend the reach of this extraordinary health coaching program to companies both large and small.

I am 53 years old and have been married for 27 years. My wife and I have 3 daughters under the age of 18. I am delighted by their impassioned response to healthful eating and living. I believe that we all crave the foods we grew up with, so why not encourage our children to grow up craving the unprocessed foods that will allow them to feel consistently energized and perform to their potential? I am convinced that this is my role as a parent and business leader. In our household we are fortunate to have started early, but I recognize that now is an ideal time for anyone to start. Beyond my passion for wellness, I enjoy cooking, yoga, spending time with family, coaching Little League and serving as member of our local Little League board.

I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA and from Harvard Business School with an MBA. Throughout the 1980s I focused on high tech manufacturing and sales working for Kollmorgen, IBM and Siemens, in NY and in Silicon Valley. I entered the food industry and have been working as a food importer and broker for the past 20 years. In 2000 I formed a Joint Venture with BMT Commodity Corp. This entity, BMT Weiser LLC, sells lightly processed fruits, vegetables and nuts as ingredients to the food industry. BMT Weiser has expanded into produce for both the fresh market and for products on the leading edge of school nutrition as well as dairy alternatives. BMT Weiser LLC sources from many parts of the world including China, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Indonesia, Mexico and the USA.
